ISOLAT 80 G (FOCHEM Beads) is a high-purity, synthetic wax-based plunger lubricant for the aluminium die casting industry.
The product is supplied in bead form, which is round, free-flowing, anti-static, and dust-free. It contains approximately 20% graphite to enhance lubrication performance.
During the casting process, the beads melt inside the shot sleeve and distribute rapidly via capillary action. This forms a uniform protective layer on steel surfaces, reducing aluminium adhesion and erosion. The lubricant also effectively reduces friction between the plunger and shot sleeve, contributing to extended plunger life and minimized die build-up.
